Touch ID gives you a seamless way to use your fingerprint as a passcode and make purchases with Apple Pay. Secure boot helps ensure that you are running trusted operating system software from Apple, while the Apple T2 chip automatically encrypts your storage drive. I did boot into Windows partition, went to reboot back into mac os sierra beta (I think beta 3, 10.12) and got caught in a loop as you describe. Change the password back to the original one that I had previously been forced to change because it was the same as the Apple ID password. Stuck at Mac login screen after installing Sierra Beta 3.
The problem is that I don't want to use my Mac with my AppleID because I am very afraid that it will sync with my other apple devices and I'm not a big fan of this at all. You can turn off sync and iCloud which will stop devices syncing.
Do I really need an AppleID for macOS and which parts of macOS I cannot use without an AppleID An Apple ID is heavily recommended. A lot of services will be disabled. You won’t be able to download any apps from the App Store or iTunes. These are some of the most widely used services that you access with your Apple ID:. App Store. Apple Music.
Apple Online Store. Apple Retail services and programs (Concierge, Joint Venture, workshops, and youth programs). Apple Store app. Apple Support Communities.
FaceTime. Find My Friends.
Find My iPhone. Game Center. Books Store. iCloud. iMessage. iTunes Genius. iTunes Home Sharing.
iTunes Match. iTunes Store. iTunes U. Mac App Store. Photo Print Products.
No, you do not absolutely need one. It is mostly used for synchronizing with your other devices, which you’ve stated that you do not want anyways. However it will still be most practical if you create a new Apple-ID to be used exclusively for that computer. If you do not, you’ll not be able to download software from Apple. Note that you do not have to enter that Apple-ID in any of the systems that would otherwise sync data. Your files, photos, calendars, mails, contacts, etc. Will stay completely private and not synced with anything, even if you use an Apple-ID for purchasing or otherwise downloading software from Apple.
By. 10:30 am, November 13, 2016. macOS Sierra comes with some stunning wallpapers. Photo: Ste Smith/Cult of Mac Sure, macOS Sierra has that will fundamentally change the way you work but — particularly if you’ve got one of Apple’s gorgeous 5K iMacs — it’s hard to undersell the value of some beautiful photography. With that in mind, Apple’s latest operating system comes with some truly stunning new desktop wallpaper that users can choose to add some eye candy to their Macs.
Here’s how you access the default wallpapers macOS Sierra comes with. Repaper your Mac To start with, open Finder.

Next, hold down Command, Shift and G to open the “Go to folder” prompt. Into this type: /Library/Desktop Pictures and hit Go. First you’ll need to open Finder and type in this directory. Photo: Ste Smith/Cult of Mac In this folder, you’ll find all of the stunning default wallpapers that Apple ships as part of macOS Sierra. As per Apple tradition, there’s a plethora of stunning images — all of which will showcase the stunning display of your iMac or MacBook. Just be sure to remember that, if you do want to make changes to any of the images, it’s best to copy the photo to another folder so that you retain the original copy — should you want to return to it at a later date. Make your choice of image.
